1-2-2 Forecheck Angling

Objective: F1's angle sets up the whole forecheck — steer the breakout into your teammates. Setup: Two breakout defenders with a puck, three forecheckers in a 1-2-2 shape. Execution: D retrieves and tries to break out; F1 angles inside-out, taking away the middle and steering to a wall. F2 seals the steered wall; F3 mirrors as the high safety. Live until the exit or the turnover; rotate roles. Coaching points: F1's stick is IN the passing lane while skating — take away D-to-D. Angle from the inside: give them the wall, then take it away. F2 anticipates — leave WHEN the pass is forced, not after.
