Angling Ladder: 1v1 to 2v2

Objective: Build the angle from a clean 1v1 rep into a live 2v2 — same lanes, more chaos. Setup: Puck carriers start in the corner and break up the wall; forecheckers start inside the dots. Second pair waits at the top. Execution: Round 1 (1v1): carrier attacks up the wall; forechecker matches speed and angles him into the boards. Steer with the stick on the puck-side hip, finish shoulder-to-shoulder, win the puck back. Round 2 (2v2): add a support player for each side — the winner attacks, the loser tracks. Coaching points: Angle from inside-out: take away the middle FIRST, then close the wall. Match feet before contact — lunging from behind is a penalty, not a forecheck. In the 2v2, the second forechecker reads off the first: one takes body, one takes puck.
