Big-Ice Timed Circuit
Full IceIntermediate1v0ConditioningSkating/Edges
Objective: A four-segment skating circuit against the clock — sprint, backward, crossovers, sprint — with a posted time to beat. Setup: One skater on the course at a time, coach on the stopwatch. Cones mark the two transitions. Execution: Sprint goal line to the near blue; pivot backward at the cone and skate backward to the red line. Pivot forward into maximum-tempo crossovers once around the center circle. Sprint home through the start line. Each skater posts a time; round two, beat your own by half a second. Coaching points: Transitions are where circuits are won — pivot on the arc, never stop. Backward segment is crossovers, not gliding C-cuts, at this level. Pace the circle so the final sprint is still a sprint.
