Net-Front Box-Out & Corner Clear
D-ZoneIntermediate1v1Backcheck/D-ZoneBattles/Compete
Objective: Own the net-front: early position, box out on the shot, kill the rebound. Setup: Point shooter with pucks, one net-front attacker vs one defender, goalie live. Execution: Attacker establishes at the crease; D takes ice between him and the goalie EARLY. On the point shot: stick lift, hips first, box him off the rebound. D wins the rebound and clears to the corner wall — never up the middle. Coaching points: Position before contact — you can't box out from behind. One hand on the stick boxing, one lifting theirs. Rebounds go to the corner or the glass; middle = goal against.
