Neutral-Zone Stretch Pass

Neutral ZoneFull IceIntermediate1v0PassingTransition
Objective: Hit the stretch forward through the neutral zone and finish the entry with a shot. Setup: D with pucks at the defensive blue line, forwards in two lines: one swings low, one stretches at the far blue. Execution: F1 swings low through the middle as a decoy and support option. The stretch F times a move across the far blue line — onside, moving downhill. D hits the stretch pass flat and hard; receiver attacks wide and shoots in stride. Coaching points: Receiver skates ONTO the puck — never standing still at the line. Pass must beat the dots, not float over them. If the stretch is covered, use the swing F — always two options.
