Partner Pass & Follow

U8U10Cross-Ice / Small AreaBeginner1v0Passing
Objective: First passing habits: firm, flat, tape-to-tape — then follow your pass to build movement into it. Setup: Pairs facing each other about 20 feet apart across the ice, one puck per pair. Execution: Pass back and forth: cup the puck, look at the target, push through it. After each pass, FOLLOW it — skate to the other line and join it. Progress: one-touch returns, then backhand-only, then on the move. Coaching points: Blade cups the puck — sweep, don't slap at it. Eyes pick the target BEFORE the puck arrives. Receivers give a target: blade on the ice, and call for it.
