Puck-Carry Interval Loops

Neutral ZoneFull IceIntermediate1v0ConditioningPuck Control
Objective: Interval conditioning with a puck — the puck is the honesty test that keeps max-tempo skating from turning sloppy. Setup: A cone loop around the neutral zone. Groups of three: one works, two rest. Execution: 45 seconds of continuous loops at maximum controlled tempo, puck on the stick the whole time. 45 seconds rest while the next player works; six rounds each. Count laps out loud — beat your own lap count as the rounds go, not your teammates'. Coaching points: Control at speed is the standard: lose the puck, keep skating, coach counts it. Crossovers through every corner of the loop — no coasting arcs. The last round should match round one; pacing is a skill.
