Two-Line Weave & Go
U12Full IceBeginner1v0PassingWarm-up
Objective: The classic two-line weave: exchange passes on the move, cross lanes, finish with a shot. Setup: Two lines on the goal line about 25 feet apart, pucks with one line. Goalie in the far net. Execution: First pair leaves together; the carrier passes across, then crosses BEHIND his partner. Exchange at least two passes before the far blue line, swapping lanes each time. Whoever has it at the far blue attacks and shoots; both follow for the rebound. Coaching points: Pass AHEAD of your partner — he should never reach back. Cross behind the man you passed to; that's what makes it a weave. Keep speed through the exchange — slowing down to pass defeats the drill.
