Backhand Roof Reps

O-ZoneIntermediate1v0Shooting/ScoringPuck Control
Objective: Roof the backhand from in tight — the finish every goal-scorer owns and every goalie hates. Setup: Line at the hash marks with pucks, attacking the near net one at a time. Execution: Carry from the hash marks to the top of the crease on an angle. Pull the puck to the backhand and roof it — bar-down or water-bottle height. Five reps forehand-side entry, five reps from the other hash. Rotate lines. Coaching points: Puck starts at the heel and rolls to the toe — that roll creates the lift. Follow through HIGH with the blade open; finish facing your target. Slow hands, fast feet — the deke is patient, the finish is violent.
