Cycle-Out Backhand Finish

O-ZoneAdvanced1v1Shooting/ScoringPuck Control
Objective: Come off the cycle wall and finish on the backhand — protect the puck the whole way in. Setup: Line in the corner with pucks, one passive defender in the slot lane. Goalie live. Execution: Attacker cycles off the wall and cuts across the top of the crease. Body stays between the defender and the puck through the entire cut. Finish backhand against the grain; defender goes live after each pair of reps. Coaching points: Cut across the defender's TOES — behind him and the lane is gone. The backhand hides the release; don't switch to forehand and give it away. Sell the drive wide first — the cutback only works off a real threat.
