Phone-Booth Handling Box

Cross-Ice / Small AreaIntermediate1v0Puck Control
Objective: Two players, two pucks, one tiny box — small-space handling where collisions are the defender. Setup: A marked box roughly 15 by 20 feet. Two players inside, each with a puck. Execution: 40 seconds: both players stickhandle continuously inside the box — escapes, toe drags, tight turns. Neither the puck nor a skate may leave the box; players may never touch each other. Rounds get harder: round two add a third player, round three shrink the box. Coaching points: The other player is moving traffic — track him with your eyes, the puck with your hands. Change pace constantly; drifting in circles is hiding. Escape moves happen a stride BEFORE contact would — late means a crash.
