Trailer One-Timer Off the Rush

Objective: Score the modern rush goal: wide carrier pulls the defense, trailer arrives shooting. Setup: Two lines at center — wide carriers with pucks on the wall, trailers in the middle lane. Goalie live in the far net. Execution: Carrier attacks wide with speed and holds the wall lane to the top of the circle. Trailer times his route a stick-length behind the play, hips open to the carrier. Carrier finds him mid-slot; trailer one-times it in stride. Next pair leaves on the shot. Coaching points: The trailer arrives SHOOTING — never gliding into the slot waiting. Carrier's pass is flat and firm to the trailer's front hip. If the lane closes, carrier shoots and trailer becomes net-front — no wasted rep.
