Crossfire Nets 2v2
U10Cross-Ice / Small AreaIntermediate2v2Small-Area Games
Objective: 2v2 with two nets back-to-back at center ice — you can score from either side, so defenders can never square up. Setup: Two cone nets set back-to-back in the middle of a cross-ice area, openings facing opposite walls. Two teams of two. Execution: Either team scores in either net — attack whichever mouth is undefended. Wrap plays around the back of the nets are the money play — switch sides faster than the defense. Steal = attack immediately; the net is never more than a few feet away. Coaching points: The back of the net is a teammate — use it to escape pressure and flip the attack. Defenders: protect the MOUTH, not the middle — position beats chasing. One pass around the nets beats three stickhandles into a body.
