Step by step
Step 1 — Drill-Phase 1
- Lines with pucks at the opposite blue lines
- At the same time, 1 player (without a puck) from each line skates clockwise around the furthest cone and opens up for a pass from the opposite line.
Step 2 — Drill-Phase 2
- The second player in both lines waits for the first skater to gain the RED line and makes a tape-to-tape pass to the first skater.
- The first skaters from both lines then gather the pass and go in for a shot on the Goalie.
Step 3 — Drill-Phase 3
- When the first 2 skaters complete the drill, the second skaters who made the original pass will start the drill on the coach's whistle.
- Shots should be taken in the high slot area to work out the goalies (no dangles or shots past the hash marks).
- When the shooter completes the drill, they will skate up the boards away from the drill and go into the line across from where they started.
- Drill is continuous (focus on clean passes, speed, and hard low shots on net)
