Goalie-First Warm-Up Ladder
O-ZoneIntermediate1v0Warm-upGoalie
Objective: A shooting warm-up built around the goalie's needs — location ladder, controlled tempo, no cold-snipe garbage. Setup: Three shooters arced across the zone with pucks. Goalie sets the pace from the crease. Execution: Ladder by location: ten low shots along the ice from each spot, then ten mid-height, then corners last. Shots go in arc order — left, middle, right — and NOBODY shoots until the goalie is square and set. Finish with five one-timers off slow feeds once the goalie calls for them. Coaching points: The goalie owns the tempo — he taps his stick when he's ready. Low first: goalies warm up their eyes and depth before their glove. Shooters work too: catch, set, pick a target — no lazy flings.
