Backdoor Quick Strike

O-ZoneElite4v3Power PlayShooting/Scoring
Objective: Two-touch scoring pattern for the two-man advantage: point to flank, flank to backdoor, in the net. Setup: PP shape (QB, flank, weak-side flank, backdoor net man) vs a three-man passive PK triangle. Runs identically with a full 5v3 unit. Execution: QB moves it to the flank; the triangle's near defender slides out to challenge. Flank immediately feeds the backdoor man at the far post — two touches, no hesitation. Backdoor taps it home. If pass two isn't there, reset to the QB and re-attack — never force the third. Coaching points: Two touches, goal — the pattern beats the triangle before it can re-form. Backdoor man stays OFF the post until pass one leaves; arriving early gets him covered. Every player's blade on the ice — a 5v3 dies when someone has to stickhandle.
