Drop-Pass Power Play Entry

Full IceNeutral ZoneAdvanced3v2Power PlayTransition
Objective: Rep the drop-pass PP entry until it's automatic: carrier pulls the pressure, trailer hits the line with all the speed. Setup: Three PP forwards regrouping at center vs two passive penalty killers holding the blue line. Execution: Carrier attacks the middle at a controlled pace, drawing both PKers to him. At the line he dead-leaves the puck (drop) and skates THROUGH to clear the lane. The trailer arrives at top speed, takes the drop, and enters wide; wide winger stretches the far lane. If the PK stands still, skip the drop — speed-wide entry instead. Coaching points: The drop is a dead leave — pushing it back turns it over. Carrier keeps skating after the drop; stopping tips the play and clogs the lane. Trailer times it to hit the line at MAX speed — that's the whole point of the drop.
