Bumper Touch-and-Score

O-ZoneIntermediate1v0Power PlayShooting/Scoring
Objective: Isolate the bumper's job: catch in the middle of the box and score in half a second. Setup: Bumper in the mid-slot, feeders with pucks at the goal line and the flank. Goalie live. Execution: Goal-line feeder hits the bumper's blade; bumper catches and shoots in one motion. Alternate feeds: goal line, then flank — different angles, same half-second release. Ten touches, rotate. Track goals; bumpers compete across the session. Coaching points: Catch in your feet-set triangle — the shot is loaded before the puck arrives. Half a second is the budget: catch-and-shoot, never catch-look-shoot. Vary the finish low blocker/five-hole — bumper goals are quick, not pretty.
