Corner Fury 1v1

Objective: A dumped puck, one corner, two players — the battle that decides more games than any set play. Setup: Two lines at the top of the circle. Coach dumps a puck into the corner, goalie live. Execution: Coach dumps; both players race to the corner. Winner of the puck attacks the net any way he can; loser defends 1v1. Battle ends on a goal or a clear past the dots. Loser stays for the next rep. Coaching points: First man in takes the short route and gets his hips low into contact. Come out of the corner with a PLAN — walk-out, wrap, or net-drive; no aimless cycling. Defender: stick on puck, body on body — steer him behind the net, never across the slot.
