Pin and Escape
U14U16U18D-ZoneAdvanced1v1Battles/Compete
Objective: The wall battle both ways: one player learns to pin and kill a play, the other learns to escape with possession. Setup: Battle box marked on the wall. Puck carrier on the boards, checker engaged on his back. Execution: 10 seconds of live pin: checker seals the carrier on the wall, stick under stick, hips in contact. On the whistle it flips — carrier must ESCAPE the box with possession within 5 seconds. Point for the pin held, point for the clean escape. Switch roles every rep. Coaching points: Pinning: hips first, feet outside his feet, stick pins the blade — not a hug. Escaping: get your base wide, puck on the far side, spin off his pressure point. The wall is the third player — bank it to yourself if the body wins.
