Rebound Steering & Recovery

D-ZoneAdvanced1v0Goalie
Objective: Rebounds aren't luck — steer them to the corners and recover before the second shot. Setup: Shooters alternating from both circles; one retriever forward who attacks any rebound left in the slot. Execution: Shooter drives a low shot; goalie steers the rebound to the CORNER with pad or stick angle. Goalie recovers to post-lean while the retriever races the rebound. Any rebound left in the slot is live — retriever finishes. Coaching points: Angle the pad on contact — absorb or steer, never kick straight back. Recover eyes-first: find the puck before moving. Sloppy rebound = sprint save; make the steer automatic instead.
