Rebound War
D-ZoneIntermediate1v1Battles/CompeteShooting/Scoring
Objective: 50/50 rebound wars: a real shot, a real goalie, and two players who both believe the rebound is theirs. Setup: Shooter at the top of the slot with pucks. Two battlers start at opposite hash marks, goalie live. Execution: Shooter fires LOW on the whistle — a rebound on purpose. Both battlers crash from the hash marks; the rebound is 50/50 and live. Play until it's buried, frozen, or cleared above the dots. Winner stays for a second war. Coaching points: Arrive ON TIME, not early — crashing before the shot means boxing out air. Stop AT the puck — flying past the rebound is the most common fail. Whacks don't score; controlled second touches do. Corral, then bury.
