Screen-Vision Battle
D-ZoneIntermediate1v0Goalie
Objective: Goalies don't get clean sightlines in games — this is a fight for vision around a live screen on every release. Setup: Point shooter with pucks, one screener parked at the top of the crease, goalie live. Execution: Shooter walks the line and fires through the screen on his own timing. Goalie fights for a sightline AROUND the screen — head moves, look windows open and close. Screener works to stay in the eyes without touching the goalie. Ten shots, rotate. Coaching points: Find the puck early and re-find it on every lateral step the shooter takes. Look around the screen, never through it — pick a side and commit your head. No sightline at release = get big, be patient, react to the sound and the first sight.
