Three-Man Wedge Survival
D-ZoneElite4v3Penalty KillBattles/Compete
Objective: Thirty seconds of 5-on-3 — the wedge moves as one string, sticks in the seams, and any clear resets the clock. Setup: Three killers in a tight triangle vs a full five-man power play. Coach runs 30-second scramble shifts. Execution: The PP moves it freely; the wedge shifts as one — top man to the shot side, low men protecting post and slot. Sticks live in the one-timer seams; bodies stay inside the dots, nobody chases above the circles. Any legal clear resets the 30-second clock. Three shifts per unit, then rotate. Coaching points: The triangle is a string — when one moves, all three move. Fronting beats sprawling: block the lane standing, save the slide for the certain one-timer. Goalie has the shooter — killers take away the passes, not the puck.
