Turnover Counter 3v2

Objective: Score off the turnover: the whistle flips possession and the counter has to launch inside two seconds. Setup: Two checkers cycle a puck in the zone; a D and three forwards defend. Coach whistles the turnover at random. Execution: On the whistle the defending D suddenly has the puck — the two checkers become backcheckers. First pass goes inside two seconds; three forwards counter with speed vs the two recovering checkers. Attack before the backcheck sets — a chance within 10 seconds or the rep is dead. Coaching points: The counter is won in the first two seconds — eyes up BEFORE you win the puck. Forwards: sprint to your lane the instant the whistle blows, don't watch the pass. Middle-lane drive forces the retreating checkers to pick a man — then use the free one.
